Where does your toddler sleep when you travel? - toddler travel pillow

My son (2 years, 30 pounds) was sleeping in his crib for a few weeks, typically large, but we have to threaten the house from time to time when they get out of bed. My dilemma now is that he stay in a hotel and my mother's house soon. He does not sleep well with us, then our options are run-lattice is a mattress on the floor or fold foam sofa? Only stayed for one night at a place a few weeks, but we all have the whole night. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
